How to brew
Use these as starting points, then adjust the amount of tea and steeping time to taste.
Gaiwan or small teapot
- Use 8g of tea with approximately 110ml of water at 100°C.
- If preferred, rinse briefly for around 5 seconds and discard the rinse.
- Start with a 10–15 second infusion, then pour out the tea fully.
- Gradually increase steeping time for subsequent infusions.
Large mug
- Start with 3–5g of tea in a 300–400ml mug, using freshly boiled water.
- Try a 60-second infusion, then strain or remove the leaves when the tea reaches your preferred strength.
- Reinfuse to taste. Use less tea or a shorter steep for a lighter cup.
Keep the bag sealed in a cool, dry place away from strong odours. Warm your favourite cup and make a little room for an everyday tea break.
